Max Barber plays BenMAX BARBER – BEN

The star of ‘SPACE BOY’ Max Barber made his acting debut in a John Lewis Commercial in 2010. Since then he has gone on to play ‘Nico McRae’ in the dramatic ‘Holby Riots’ episodes, of the hit BBC 1 series ‘Casualty’. Most recently Max spent two weeks in Morocco filming an episode of the Sky Atlantic series ‘Game of Thrones’.

Max is an avid footballer and Chelsea supporter and, despite his tender years, plays the double bass in a string orchestra.

Max was delighted to win the part of ‘SPACE BOY’ and really enjoyed playing the role; his latest ambition is to become an astronaut – subject to the total extermination of all Daleks before he blasts off!


Grant Masters Plays Dad


Grant has been working in film and TV since 1995 and has a wealth of experience across a broad range of roles. His most recent work includes features films Blackline: The Beirut Contract (2013); Fossil (2012) and Stormhouse (2011).  He can also be seen playing ‘Sam Reid’ in the current BBC 1 series of Doctors

‘SPACE BOY’ is Judith’s first venture into the short film format after working on two British feature films in the last few years. In 2008 she played a Barmaid in the comic feature film ‘Caught In The Act’ directed by Little Britain’s Matt Lipsey after which she ventured into the world of crazed Lady Zombie killers in the British horror comedy film ‘Dog House’



Louise Ennever Plays Ellie

Louise Ennever   – Ellie Sister

Louise attended Guildford School of Acting’s Saturday School and has worked in theatre productions across the country and has built up a wealth of short film experience since leaving the Kent Stage Academy of Performing Arts in 2009.

Not yet married Louise enjoyed the fun of playing out her big day in church for the making of ‘SPACE BOY’!



Tom Babbage plays the Older Brother

Tom Babbage – Older Brother

Tom has a strong passion for acting and has been involved in the Youth Theatre in and around Bath and as a member of Courage Performers in Bradford-on-Avon. He was part of last year’s National Youth Theatre intake and performed with them at the National Theatre in 2012. He has just finished his A Levels and is taking a gap year before he moves onto a performing arts degree.


Sophie Bray plays the older Brother Girlfriend

Sophie Bray  – Brothers Girlfriend

Local Hereford girl Sophie makes her acting debut in ‘SPACE BOY’. In one of those rare moments in casting, Sophie came in for a quick chat about what we were doing and left with a part! She is really excited to be involved in ‘SPACE BOY’, which she says ‘was a thrilling experience’ and has encouraged her to continue acting alongside her ‘A’ Levels in the coming years.
